1Always watching

2Reads the market first
A setup that works in a trending market can fail in a choppy one. So before anything else, EdgeX asks what kind of market it is in.
3Every setup gets a score
Finding a setup is not enough. Each one is scored and graded. Only the ones that clear the bar become trades.
4The exit is planned first
A trade never opens without a stop-loss and a target. Once it is in profit, the stop starts climbing to protect it.
A setup comes with an entry price. EdgeX opens the trade only when price gets there. If it never does, the setup quietly expires.
Both come from the chart itself, not from a fixed rule of thumb. You see them in the alert before the trade even opens.
Once the trade is far enough ahead, the stop jumps above the entry price. Part of the gain is now locked in.
Every step price takes in the trade's favour, the stop follows behind it and locks in more. If price turns before the target, the trail closes the trade in profit. Either way, you get the alert.
Small losses, room for the wins. Losses are capped by the stop. Winners are allowed to run as long as the trail holds.
